FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Awaire.
What is Awaire?
Awaire is a local-first post-production workbench. It is being built to turn a drive of rushes and a brief into useful moments, evidence and a reviewable first assembly suggestion. Awaire is in controlled validation, and source media stays unchanged.
Is Awaire a chatbot?
No. Awaire is an editorial workflow product, not a chatbot. It supports a bounded set of editorial tasks — briefs, media preparation, review, draft assembly, NLE handoff, and evidence — grounded in your project. It is not a general-purpose conversational assistant.
What are Forge Engine and Anvil Engine?
They are the engines behind Awaire. Forge Engine handles media preparation: it prepares review media and proxies locally and keeps a local job record for every run. Recursive watch folders and Resolve-enabled RAW workflows (through DaVinci Resolve Studio) are in development; Forge has a bounded live RAW/Resolve proof for an approved sample lane, and broader RAW-family support remains controlled-access validation. Anvil Engine is the editorial-intelligence layer for prepared rushes, in controlled validation. Both are included in every Awaire licence.
Does Awaire send my media externally?
Awaire is designed to keep your media on your workstation — the rushes are not uploaded as part of the workflow. The only required outbound call is licence validation. We document and confirm network behaviour with each onboarded project during controlled access.
How does Awaire hand off to Premiere or Resolve?
NLE handoff is in controlled validation. Awaire prepares package files and sidecar evidence; the editor reviews and imports into Premiere or Resolve. Awaire does not edit your NLE timeline. The package-first XML/OTIO route is the current handoff; a direct Premiere adapter is discovery only and not yet implemented.
How does pricing work?
One Awaire licence covers the whole workbench. Choose by access window: Trial (14 days, free), Project Pass (£69 / 30 days), or Annual (£349 / year). All include Forge Engine and Anvil Engine — no separate module purchases. Studio and facility plans will be introduced later; studio access is handled directly during controlled validation.
How do I get access?
Awaire is in controlled validation. We onboard projects in small batches so setup, data handling, and workflow feedback are handled properly. Tell us about your project and we'll send the validation pack and schedule a working session.
What happens if I lose internet connection?
Awaire includes a 30-day offline tolerance. After 30 days without re-validation, the licence will be invalidated. This keeps licensing enforceable while supporting remote workflows.
